Would you like to learn how to organize information for publishing on the World Wide Web? Announcing an almost-free workshop that will get you there.
When: This Friday, Feb 24, 4-6 PM and Friday, Mar 10, 4-6 PM.

What: Web Publishing 101
Prequisite skills: Familiarity with the WWW and use of Netscape. Ability to use Microsoft Word and/or ClarisWorks.
Required Text: Lemay, L. (1995). Teach yourself web publishing with HTML in a week. Sams Publishing. Available at Barnes & Noble and Bookstar. (New shipments have just arrived. Not essential for the first workshop session.)
Price of Admission: In order to take this workshop, you must agree to perform 10 hours of volunteer service during March. This service will consist of helping departments and programs in the College of Education to get their information onto EdWeb. You'll be able to do most of it at home on your own computer.
The end result: 1) EdWeb will be fully fleshed out. 2) You'll have a new set of skills and a new vehicle for your creativity. 3) You'll have a line on your resume that says "Designed World Wide Web pages for the x Department at SDSU."
