When I'm not planning SAGE parties and events with Jordan Baldueza, I'm probably in one phase or another of the ADDIE model as it applies to all of my 2nd semester EDTEC M.A. coursework.  Before deciding to become a full-time graduate student at SDSU, I was comparing my optimals and actuals as a teacher in Poway, CA.  The gaps in my understanding of educational technology led me straight to a solution system: the SDSU EDTEC Master's program!  I have already experienced immense gains in knowledge, opportunity, and friendship.  I hope to become a professional instructional designer and obtain, as SDSU says, "the best career [I've] never heard of.”  I'm keeping my options open, which has already led me to try my hand at user testing and quality assurance for a small startup.  Although it's difficult to pry myself away from the SDSU campus, I do make time for family barbeques, fierce games of ping-pong, and learning to speak Farsi.

Debanoshee Das, Distance Student Representative
Deba Das
I go by Deba. I am from India. I have been in the US the last couple of years. My primary skill set is instructional design and project management. I worked for GE for 5 years, and then gathered experience in the consultancy arena in a Human Capital Management firm in suburban Chicago. I am moving back to GE Healthcare in May. I am a certified Six Sigma professional. Prior to that, I produced documentaries for CNBC and Reuters and read the news on National TV in India for a year. My husband of 8 years and a 16 month old always eager to display his exploratory prowess keeps me on my toes at home.
