Addressing obstacles and identifying strategies to making science accessible for all learners

This iMovie was made by Edrick Macalaguim in the first week of his elementary science methods course as he reflected upon his science experience. As a native of San Diego Edrick had both positive and negative experiences in his K-16 science learning. Edrick recalls in this iMovie the story of his experience in a science experiment of "imprinting" -- a scientific phenomenon common to many animals in which newly born/hatched young associate motherly characteristics to the first individual they encounter. Kaluha, as Edrick named her, taught him much about science and his own science learning experience as he was growing up and he tells how he wants to teach after sharing his frustrations with their science learning experiences and desire to learn alternative methods.
