A special educator teaches students with disabilities in a variety of settings - including pre-schools, k-12 schools, and the workplace. A well trained special educator works in partnership with families and other professionals, and advocates for individuals with special needs. STEP1. Your first step should be to attend a group advising session. In these sessions you will have a chance to meet faculty members, learn details about the programs, and more about the application procedure. An informational video will be played during the meeting. STEP3. You will need to complete both an SDSU application and a department application. Find out more...
STEP4. Sit back and wait. Faculty consider applications shortly after scheduled deadlines. You will be contacted by the Department as soon as a decision has been made.
