Background
I grew up in Orlando, Florida with my mother and father and my two brothers, Robert and David. We spent many wonderful years at Walt Disney World because my father worked there. My mother is a writer and she writes children's books and articles for many publications. My brother David is co-owner of a startup computer company in San Francisco and my brother Robert is missing in action somewhere in Atlanta. Robert, if you are out there call me.
Surfing and Traveling
My favorite activity in the whole world is surfing and when I recieve my teaching credential, my first summer will be spent in Indonesia. Of course, surfing. What I like about surfing is it includes travel in undeveloped and secluded places. So far I have traveled for surf in Barbados, Costa Rica, Abaco Bahamas, Mexico, Baja Sur, Baja Norte, and Hawaii. In my future years of teaching I hope to start a surf club and stoke the kids out on some great surf adventures.
I also love to ride my racing bike, play basketball, and practice my Tai Chi.
Jazz, Salsa, Movies, ETC.
I love Johnny Coltrane, Miles Davis, Stan Getz and fast, vibrant Latin music. I also like the mellow Neil Young and James Taylor. In High School my favorite band was RUSH and I still have a place in my heart for them. If you remember the band DEVO and like their lyrics and mentality then you and I can rock and roll. I almost forgot, I love ska like the English Beat, The Untouchables, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I like Quentin Tarentino movies like Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs. Movies like When Harry Met Sally, The Yearling, The Shining, and Citizen Ruth come to mind when I think of my favorites. I want to learn the Tango, the Lambada and other Latin dances when I get my first teaching job but for know I just sing in the shower and dance around my house. I live in Ocean Beach and my house has a view of the ocean . I hope to someday live in some exotic locale right on the beach so I can wake-up and stumble right into the ocean.
