The Martin Luther King Junior Memorial Park is located on the south side of Imperial Avenue in the neighborhood ofSouth East San Diego, California It is a wooded and green park with a swimming pool, tennis courts, football field, baseball diamond, playgrounds and recreation building. There were lots of benches with students relaxing in the shade on a warm and sunny day. Many trees provided lots of shade, as well as leaves and bark on the ground. It was very quiet and peaceful, with people walking their dog. Kids were swimming in the pool and young children running around in diapers being supervised by life quards. A ball player was taking batting practice on the diamond while a few onlookers in the stands.
