The Fargo Bar-B-Q is located in the Trolley Stop Plaza on the corner of 62nd and Imperial. The colorful strip mall is also home to a nail salon, Sammy's Mexican andpastry bakery, Isis salon, and the Real Cotija Mexican restaurant. Fargo's is run by a Jamacian woman who brings many touches of her homeland to the restaurant. Jamacian flags share wall space with Bob Marley posters. The tables are even graced by Jamacan place mats. The wall is filled with awards and critical aclaim for the humble restaurant. Outside the shops we observed many different ethnicities. The ethnicites seem to mirror the students at O'Farrell and Morse, consisting mostly of Asian/Pacific Islanders, African-Americans, and Mexican-Americans.

As we pulled into the plaza, our group saw a little girl, two women, and a man throwing water balloons at birds in the parking lot. The little girl, in her prim white jumper with green flowers, looked very out of place standing with the beer-drinking adults. One of the women, sitting on a sunken milk crate, claimed that she was "a beer drinker and a very loving mother of two." The tattoed, toothless man claimed to be the property manager looking after his establishment. He was later removed from the property by one of the merchants.
