Background
I was born in Santa Monica and grew up in L.A. My mom is a teacher and my dad is a cinematographer. I went to a Catholic school for nine years and then a private all girls high school; and I had to wear uniforms the WHOLE time. I got my first job when I was just fifteen, working in a combination art gallery and ceramics studio. By the time I left to go to college I was the senior employee. In college I became a tutor and finally admitted the I really like to teach.
Interests, Activities & Plans
I am presently working toward my teaching credential in Social Science and English. I am very inerested in developing curriculum that integrates both subjects and I am very excited to be doing my student teaching at O"Farrell because there are teachers here who are doing that.
Other Interesting Things
In my minescule amounts of free time I like to go to movies and walk on the beach. Occasionally I have time to cook, but I enjoy going out to eat. Reading is of course a natural hoby for a teacher and I do a lot of it because I've been well conditioned after years of school. I find myself reading more newspapers and magazines than books though, because i like to know whats going on in the world. I am also addicted to CNN, but thats because my cat, Cleo, insists on watching it constantly.
