Student Teaching at O'Farrell middle school in the Langauge Arts department.

Background

I grew up in Ventura California. There, I became involved with athletic teams, writing, and music. Over the years I have been a tutor to elementary students, a teacher's assistant at Point Loma High, and a substitute teacher in the Ventura district. I enjoy recreational sports, playing the guitar, and writing in all genres. Lately, I have become interested in surfing. Sometimes I like to combine my writing and my music. I'm trying to find several other musicians to jam with. Another big part of my life is my state of health and physical fitness. Soccer is my sport of choice, but I see myself trying lots of other activities. Because I was an major in English I was forced to enjoy reading, and now I can't stop. I also have experience in retailing and the restuarant business. I like to think of myself as a well balanced person.

Interests, Activities & Plans

I will be a teacher in either a middle school or a high school. I plan on joining special interest groups within the community, and then with a certain amount of experience, I will create my own club or group. I also want to coach a high school soccer team someday. One nice thing about teaching is the fact that I will have some time off during the summer. I plan on working in education every other summer. The summers that I'm not working will be filled with travelling. I want to travel the U.S., Europe, and specific exotic spots that I'm personally attracted by.

Other Interesting Things

I like sand, sun, and surf. I like interesting melodies whether I create them or not. Nascar racing is just one of the new sports that I have been intrigued by. I love music, athletics, and reading and writing. I like trying new things. My brother jumps out of airplanes for a living, and I am yet to jump, but I have a feeling that I will sooner or later.
