While you are not going to be graded on the content of your resume, here is a link with information in general about resume writing

 

Grading Rubric/Criteria for Résumé

Text: The text is grammatically correct.
1-10 points

Numerous grammatical mistakes are made. These may include spelling, punctuation, or sentence structure.

11-15 points

A few words are either misused or misspelled. A few grammar and punctuation may have been found.

16-20 points

No misspelling, grammar, or punctuation mistakes are evident.

Text: The career objective is concise and clearly stated.
1-5 points

No career objective is stated. Career objective is vague.

6-8 points

The career objective is stated in a relatively clear statement.

9-10 points

Career objective is crisp, clear, and succinct.

Text: The content is written in an appropriate manner for a school résumé.
1-5 points

It is not clear what information is pertinent to the career objective, content is not appropriate for a school résumé.

 

6-8 points

 Content is relatively clear with a few statements needing modification.

9-10 points

The textual content is appropriate for a school résumé. Writing is crisp, clear, and succinct.

Layout: The applicant's name, address, and phone are noticeable without being overbearing.
1-5 points

  Name, address, and phone number are poorly positioned on the page; too much or too little separation from the other text; wrong size or format.

6-8 points

  Name, address, and phone number clearly stand apart from the rest of the text. Some modification to size or format would be better.

9-10 points

Name, address, and phone number are easy to spot. Appropriate size and formatting.

Layout: Topic headings stand out nicely.

1-5 points

  Topic headings are hard to distinguish - they do not stand out. Headings are not aligned.

6-8 points

  Topic heads are easy to spot. There are some inconsistencies in alignment or format.

9-10 points

It is easy to spot the topic headings since they are in a different size, font, or style from the rest of the text. Headings are aligned.

Invisible Layout: word processing skills show the correct use of formatting.

1-12 points

Little or no use of tabs or more advanced features for formatting. 

13-17 points

  Mostly proper usage of tabs, and ruler adjuestment. Some unnecssary hard returns and use of spacebar.

18-20 points

Tabs and/or ruler adjustment are used instead of the spacebar or unnecessary hard returns.

Assignment is turned in on time
1-10 points

Material was submitted more than one class late.

11-15 points

Assignment was submitted up to one class late.

20 points

Material is submitted on time.
