Triton Workshop Schedule
August 22-23, 1996
Welcome to San Diego State! During the next two days we'll be surfing the net, brainstorming project ideas, and sampling a range of technologies. By Friday afternoon you'll have created a plan for the Triton lessons you'll be developing this Fall. We've attempted to give you time to work on your curriculum ideas while also spending time to show some interesting tools and opportunities. Here's our schedule:
Thursday
- 8:30 - Refreshments
- 9:00 - Overview of the Workshop.
- 9:20 - Analysis of Draft Lessons
- 10:15 - Break
- 10:30 - Brainstorming Possibilities
- 11:30 - Scavenger Hunt
- 12:00 - Lunch
- 1:00 - Types and levels of projects
- 1:15 - Breakout Groups (scanning pictures, digitizing video, tweaking with GraphicConverter)
- 2:00 - Work session. Begin work on your project proposal. Refreshments available in the hallway.
- 2:55 - Session evaluation
- 3:00 - End
Friday
- 8:30 - Refreshments
- 9:00 - Review and Preview
- 9:15 - Audioconference with Dr. Kristin Brown of I*EARN
- 9:45 - Videoconference with Dr. Bruce Betts of the San Juan Institute
- 10:15 - Break
- 10:30 - Work session. Continue work on your proposal.
- 12:00 - Lunch
- 1:00 - Using WebWhacker to conquer network slowness. Using URL Manager Pro to organize your links.
- 1:20 - Breakout sessions on RealAudio and HomeMaker. Continue proposal work.
- 2:20 - Proposal sharing.
- 2:50 - Evaluation
- 3:00 - End
