Topic: Habitats

I would like to explore the idea of integrating language arts, social studies, and science with regards to the study of the rainforest and the desert. The two continents in focus will be North America, (the Sonoron Desert), and South America (the Amazon Rainforest). In studying these two habitats there will be a focus on plants and animal from these regions in order to compare and contrast them. In addition, there will be an conservation component to the unit.
