The idea of this project is to show both students and teachers how to use the San Diego High Cluster Reading Rubric to assess student work fairly, consistantly and accurately.

This project will cover...

Learning Goals:

Teachers will learn an assessment rubric that can be applied to all reading assignments given to students.
Teachers will learn how to put district reading performance standards and the reading assessment rubric into kid-friendly language.
Students will learn how to assess their own work and the work of their peers.
Students will be able to explain what is lacking in their work and how the work can be improved to receive a higher grade.

Learner Task:

Students will make posters in groups of the district performance standards and later, the SDHS Cluster Reading Rubric.
