This lesson will include information on native plant life in the San Diego Area. This lesson will help students become familiar with what types of plants are native to San Diego and which ones have been brought into this region. Students will research the positives and negatives of new plant life and how if affects the environment. Students will research how they can help preserve the natural environment of San Diego.

Students will create a brochure to be circulated to help promote the positives and negative of the changing environment of San Diego's plant life.
The culminating task in this project might be to go on a fieldtrip to Torrey Pines to view the natural plant life in San Diego.
